Il comando “resta” \u00e8 davvero molto utile per il proprietario, ma anche per il cane. Ecco perch\u00e9 dovrebbe essere uno dei primi comandi da insegnare<\/strong> a Fido, sin da cucciolo. Vediamo come fare in modo semplice ed efficace.<\/p>\n

Le situazioni nelle quali pu\u00f2 risultare fondamentale il comando “resta” sono davvero molte. Pensiamo, per esempio, ad un cane che tende a scattare non appena vede un gatto in lontananza. Quello che dovremmo evitare \u00e8 soprattutto che il cane possa raggiungere l\u2019animale, facendogli del male, ma anche lo scatto in s\u00e9, che non va mai bene, considerando che potrebbe dare uno strattone al nostro braccio. Inoltre, il comando “resta” \u00e8 particolarmente utile anche per il cane. Se dovessimo trovarci all\u2019aperto, senza guinzaglio, ed una macchina si avvicinasse, imponendo al cane di restare fermo in un punto, eviteremmo anche che possa essere investito.<\/p>\n

Per cominciare, dobbiamo munirci del solito occorrente, che pu\u00f2 spaziare dagli snack premio<\/a> al metodo del clicker. Entrambi saranno perfettamente validi. Il comando “resta” richiede necessariamente la precedente acquisizione da parte del cane del comando \u201cseduto\u201d o \u201cterra\u201d<\/a><\/strong>, che, come abbiamo detto molte volte, rappresenta un ottimo punto di partenza per comunicare al cane che stiamo per chiedergli qualcosa, e ci serve tutta la sua attenzione.<\/p>\n

    Chiediamo al cane di sedersi o di mettersi a terra; \"cane<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Restiamo davanti a lui, portando una mano all\u2019altezza del muso, non troppo vicino;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Contemporaneamente pronunciamo il nostro comando \u201cresta!\u201d, ci spostiamo di un solo passo indietro e, se il cane \u00e8 rimasto fermo, concediamogli un bocconcino oppure clicchiamo e premiamo;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Continuiamo in questo modo per pi\u00f9 tentativi;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Solo una volta che sar\u00e0 riuscito a comprendere il nostro ragionamento, potremo allontanarci sempre di pi\u00f9, ricordandoci di dare il comando sempre quando siamo accanto a lui, per poi tornare verso il cane per premiarlo una volta che avr\u00e0 eseguito l\u2019esercizio.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Un metodo alternativo \u00e8 quello della postura<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Posizioniamoci accanto al cane e chiediamogli di sedersi;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Una volta che l\u2019avr\u00e0 fatto, premiamolo, concedendogli un bocconcino con la mano posta dal lato del cane. Diamogli due o tre premi, per fargli capire che il nostro obiettivo \u00e8 quello di farlo restare fermo;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Ruotiamo fino a posizionarci davanti al cane. Premiamolo se resta fermo, torniamo accanto a lui e premiamolo di nuovo;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Ogni volta che procediamo con l\u2019esercizio, possiamo ruotare procedendo di pochi passi per volta indietro, facendo in modo che il cane rimanga seduto nello stesso punto. Non pretendiamo troppo per i primi tentativi. Anche due o tre passi indietro sono pi\u00f9 che sufficienti;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      Torniamo accanto al cane e premiamo. Se il cane si muove, ripetiamo dall\u2019inizio;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      Una volta che avr\u00e0 appreso il meccanismo, ripetiamo dall\u2019inizio, introducendo il comando resta e procediamo allo stesso modo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      L\u2019obiettivo di questo comando non \u00e8 chiaramente quello di ottenere una statua di sale, per cui una volta che avremo premiato il cane, lasciamo che possa muoversi liberamente<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Il comando “resta” \u00e8 molto utile anche come supporto per tutti i cani che tendono a mangiare molto velocemente<\/strong>.
