Ma quali sono le cause che possono provocare prurito alle orecchie e cosa fare in questi casi?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In alcune particolari situazioni oppure se ci sono dei problemi a livello delle orecchie, il cane e il gatto potrebbero reagire cercando in tutti i modi di alleviare il fastidio o il prurito. Gli atteggiamenti tipici in questi casi sono due: <strong>si grattano i lati della testa<\/strong>, fin dentro le orecchie, oppure <strong>iniziano a scuotere la testa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un altro segnale tipico pu\u00f2 essere rappresentato anche dall\u2019animale che spinge la testa contro la nostra mano quando lo accarezziamo dietro le orecchie. In realt\u00e0 questo aspetto non \u00e8 necessariamente indicativo di un problema auricolare, perch\u00e9 potrebbe indicare che l\u2019animale ha fastidio o prurito, cos\u00ec come potrebbe essere solo un modo per dire \u201cmi piacciono queste carezze, continua!\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se sospettiamo, invece, che il nostro amico a quattro zampe possa avere realmente qualche problema alle orecchie, dobbiamo fare affidamento anche su<strong> altri sintomi<\/strong>, come:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Cerume nero;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Cerume abbondante e maleodorante;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Cute arrossata attorno alle orecchie;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Perdita di pelo attorno alle orecchie;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Fuoriuscita di pus dalle orecchie;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Piccole ferite e croste all\u2019esterno o all\u2019interno dell\u2019orecchio;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Tracce di sangue;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Presenza di corpi estranei nelle orecchie.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Le cause<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Il cane e il gatto possono grattarsi le orecchie soprattutto in presenza di alcune <strong>condizioni o disturbi<\/strong>, come:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>Infezioni batteriche:<\/strong> tra i batteri che possono depositarsi nelle orecchie degli animali troviamo soprattutto <em>Pseudomonas<\/em> e Stafilococchi, che si manifestano spesso con arrossamenti, gonfiore e fastidio, fino alla comparsa del pus;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/?p=2562\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Infezioni micotiche<\/a>:<\/strong> esistono alcuni<strong> funghi e lieviti<\/strong> che crescono soprattutto nelle parti pi\u00f9 umide del corpo, proprio come le orecchie, scatenando un\u2019infiammazione. La principale infezione micotica nel cane e nel gatto \u00e8 quella da <strong>Malassezia<\/strong>, un lievito normalmente presente sulla pelle e sul pelo degli animali, ma che in alcune situazioni pu\u00f2 crescere fino a dare origine a delle infiammazioni. Il <strong>cerume \u00e8 nerastro, oleoso<\/strong> ed emana un <strong>odore particolarmente sgradevole<\/strong>;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-3182\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/otite_cane_gatto_acari_malassezia-668.jpg\" alt=\"otite cane gatto acari malassezia\" style=\"margin: 15px 0px 15px 15px; float: right;\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/otite_cane_gatto_acari_malassezia-668.jpg 450w, https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/otite_cane_gatto_acari_malassezia-668-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>Parassiti:<\/strong> le orecchie dei nostri animali rappresentano la sede ideale per alcuni i parassiti, tra cui gli acari delle orecchie, pi\u00f9 precisamente <em>Otodectes cynotis<\/em>. La loro presenza viene definita \u201cotoacariasi\u201d e si manifesta con il tipico cerume nerastro, secco e inodore. Oltre a questo tipo di acari, possono provocare prurito auricolare anche quelli responsabili della<strong> rogna notoedrica<\/strong> del gatto, della <strong>demodicosi<\/strong> e della <strong>rogna sarcoptica<\/strong>. L\u2019animale prova davvero molto prurito, per cui tende a grattarsi spesso, provocandosi delle lesioni sulla zona attorno alle orecchie con le unghie;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>Presenza di corpi estranei:<\/strong> all\u2019interno dell\u2019orecchio potrebbero esserci dei corpi estranei, ad esempio i tanto temuti <strong>\u201cforasacchi\u201d<\/strong>, cio\u00e8 i frammenti delle spighe di grano. In alcuni casi i corpi estranei possono rimanere incastrati nella cute dell\u2019orecchio, che si infiamma e pu\u00f2 andare incontro anche a delle infezioni. Ancora pi\u00f9 grave \u00e8 il caso dei corpi estranei che si insidiano in profondit\u00e0, con il rischio di perforare il timpano;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><a href=\"\/?p=2962\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Allergie e intolleranze alimentari:<\/strong><\/a> questo problema si manifesta principalmente con delle<strong> infiammazioni della pelle o dell\u2019intestino<\/strong>. Nel primo caso, tra le sedi pi\u00f9 frequenti rientrano proprio le orecchie, che possono infiammarsi, diventando pi\u00f9 sensibili alla presenza di batteri, funghi o parassiti.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tutti questi problemi sono responsabili dell\u2019infiammazione dell\u2019orecchio, che viene definita in senso generale come <strong>otite<\/strong>, a prescindere dalla causa.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cosa fare<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chiaramente una <strong>visita dal veterinario<\/strong> \u00e8 sempre la prima soluzione, soprattutto se i sintomi diventano pi\u00f9 intensi con il passare dei giorni. Cerchiamo di evitare il fai-da-te, perch\u00e9 in presenza di corpi estranei o se l\u2019animale ha dolore, potremmo peggiorare la situazione. Il veterinario sar\u00e0 in grado di verificare la giusta causa del problema, formulando una giusta diagnosi e la terapia pi\u00f9 opportuna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In presenza di <strong>corpi estranei<\/strong>, questi dovranno essere immediatamente<strong> rimossi dal veterinario,<\/strong> che potr\u00e0 chiedervi di somministrare degli antibiotici nei giorni successivi, nel caso in cui si fosse gi\u00e0 instaurata un\u2019infezione.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se il corpo estraneo dovesse aver danneggiato il timpano, il cane o il gatto potrebbe<strong> tenere la testa da un lato<\/strong>, scuotendola e camminando in modo \u201cstrano\u201d. Oltre il timpano, infatti, sono presenti delle delicate strutture che garantiscono il giusto equilibrio, per cui se queste vengono danneggiate, l\u2019animale potrebbe avere difficolt\u00e0 ad orientarsi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se invece il fastidio \u00e8 provocato da alcune<strong> infezion<\/strong>i, il veterinario ci prescriver\u00e0 dei <strong>farmaci specifici<\/strong>: antibiotici per le infezioni batteriche, antimicotici per funghi e lieviti ed antiparassitari per gli acari.<\/p>\n<p>Le allergie e le intolleranze alimentari, invece, vanno trattate con un adeguato<strong> cambiamento della dieta<\/strong>, scegliendo alimenti <a href=\"\/?p=4246\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">monoproteici<\/a> o <a href=\"\/?p=4256\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">nutraceutici<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Consigli per prevenire i problemi delle orecchie<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-3185\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cocker_con_sciarpa_foulard-e49.jpg\" alt=\"cocker con sciarpa foulard\" style=\"margin: 15px 0px 15px 15px; float: right;\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cocker_con_sciarpa_foulard-e49.jpg 450w, https:\/\/wordpress.socialdogcat.spregamore.ddnsfree.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cocker_con_sciarpa_foulard-e49-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I <strong>cani con le orecchie lunghe<\/strong> hanno pi\u00f9 probabilit\u00e0 di andare incontro a dei problemi delle orecchie, perch\u00e9 durante il pasto o durante la passeggiata possono \u201craccogliere\u201d microrganismi, sporcizia e corpi estranei, che finiscono proprio nelle orecchie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Per questo motivo possiamo utilizzare dei<strong> foulard<\/strong> o delle apposite<strong> fasce<\/strong> che proteggano le orecchie del cane ogni volta che lo portiamo fuori per la passeggiata.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Come regola generale per tutti i cani e i gatti dobbiamo sempre assicurarci di mantenere le orecchie dei nostri animali<strong> pulite e soprattutto asciutte<\/strong>.
